Delete your Budg account

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This page is for Budg, a budgeting app for Android. It explains how to delete your Budg account and what is deleted. Budg works without an account. An account exists only if you chose to sign in with Google, for Budg Pro cloud backup.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Budg.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. If you also want to erase everything on this phone, tick "Also erase data on this phone".
  5. Tap Delete account to confirm.

Your account and all of your cloud backups are deleted at once.

Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app, email goodwillprivatelimited+budg@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, and ask us to delete your Budg account. We will delete it within 30 days and write back to confirm.

Email a deletion request

What is deleted

  • Your Budg account: your email address, name and user ID.
  • Every cloud backup stored in your account, and the record of when each was made, its size and the app version that made it.

What is not deleted

  • Data on your phone. Budg keeps your budget on your phone. It is deleted only if you tick "Also erase data on this phone", use Settings, Data, Erase all data, or uninstall Budg.
  • Your Budg Pro subscription. Google Play manages it. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in Google Play, Subscriptions.
  • Google Play's own purchase records, which Google keeps with your Google account.
  • Purchase status records at RevenueCat, the service Budg uses to check Pro. To have those deleted, email us with the order number from your Google Play receipt.

After deletion, copies can remain for a short time in the encrypted database backups our hosting provider, Supabase, keeps for recovery, and your email address and IP address can remain in its sign-in security log for a limited time. These expire on their own and are never restored into an account.
